This 5 acre development that is Embassy Gardens in Nine Elms, Battersea London, is part of a huge 15 acre development that will when finished have nine apartment buildings and incorporate; commercial, office space, retail units, community spaces along with residential and leisure facilities. There are also planned landscaped routes will then link Battersea Power Station with Vauxhall Bridge. A 100 bedroom hotel and the new Embassy Plaza are also part of what is planned.
This 21st century development with the Embassy Gardens at its heart will mix several architectural styles, taking inspiration from commercial and residential areas that took shape over time in places like Boston and New York. Work on this project commenced in September of 2012 and is expected to have the first occupants moving into some of the 2000 homes in 2015. The nine buildings some rising to 23 storeys, will surround the US Embassy which is relocating to the development on completion.
UK community energy management company SW Energy will manage the district heating system of Embassy Gardens London on behalf of Ballymore for this project, as they do for a number other developments within London.
